THE PROBLEM:
◎ Odor and corrosion problems from various manufacturing processes are often the result of multiple airborne contaminants. Industries such as pulp and paper, oil and gas refineries and wastewater treatment generate contaminants such as hydrogen sulphide, an undesirable by-product which is malodorous, toxic and highly volatile.
Unlike hard corrosion which causes physical degradation of equipment, soft corrosion attacks the process control systems with minimal visual signs. Operations managers have long realized that electronic components are at the mercy of the gases and acids that such environments contain. As a result, corrosion of these components causes production stoppages, increased production costs, higher maintenance budgets and lower productivity.
Typical nuisance odors and corrosive contaminants are also produced in the manufacturing of chemicals, fertilizer, pharmaceuticals and food processing, as well as waste transfer stations, incineration plants and garbage depots.
In public such as office buildings, casino, hospital, restaurants, etc, odor generation is often the result of organic overloading, inadequate supply of air, improper ventilation, or simply the failure to recognize that certain unit processes may require the implementation of special odor control technology.
The ability to control odorous emissions has become a growing concern which is more and more important in factories. The objective of odor control is to prevent of minimize nuisance odor levels to the surrounding community. Safety and comfort of the employees working in plant facilities has also become a top priority. National and local regulations on air quality are more severe, responding to neighbour complaints and environmental groups.

THE CONVENTIONAL SOLUTIONS:
Wet scrubber —— are typically large towers utilizing chemical solutions to neutralize the odors. These types of systems are used in cases of very high concentrations (greater than 20 ppm) in order to reduce contaminant loads. Wet scrubbers require a major investment and substantial maintenance costs.
Adsorbed by activated carbon —— will release the collected contaminants at low temperature or saturated condition.

JUNE’s Chemical air scrubber:

The problem of corrosion is never caused by a single factor and connot be resolved by a single solution.
June’s Chemical air scrubbers are smaller dry scrubbers filled with granular Chemical-cleansing media. Smaller concentrations ( less than 20 ppm) require these dry scrubbers to efficiently remove contaminants to non-detectable levels. Servicing June’s scrubbers is minimal only requiring annual bulk loading of the replacement media rather than complex and frequent maintenance procedures necessary for wet scrubbers. The special manufacturing process of the media makes June’s Chemical-cleansing media very stably, even in the very high or low temperatures, the media won’t release any of the collected contaminants.

How do June’s Chemical air scrubbers work?
June’s Chemical air scrubber use multiple stages of physical adsorption combine with chemical oxidization to remove the gas phase contaminants. Pre-filter shall hold dusts while the air go through it. Chemical-cleansing media shall remove chemical contaminants by adsorption, followed by a series of controlled chemical reactions. Unit usually incorporates several stages of media.

TYPES OF JUNE’S CHEMICAL AIR SCRUBBERS:

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS:
In Central control room of industries such as chemical, oil and gas refineries, steel, etc. to prevent the precision instruments from damage of corrosion.
In airline terminals, hospitals, office buildings, to remove the odors and improve the quality of indoor air.
In museum, libraries, art studios, to remove the contaminants such as hydrogen sulfide, hydronitrogen.
In industries such as semiconductor, micro-electronic, to insurance the health of workers and improve the product quality by remove the contaminants molecules
In the laboratory of animals, to remove the animal odors, prevent the air environment, and also improve the quality of animals.

UNIQUE BENEFITS:
ARIOUS MEDIA FOR CUSTOMIZED SOLUTIONS
Certain applications have several contaminants which are more complex to eliminate. Gas phase filtration often requires more than one type of media in order to efficiently remove contaminants. June’s Chemical Air Scrubber is the ideal solution when multiple media sections are required.
SIMPLIFIED MEDIA REPLACEMENT AND EASY MAINTENANCE
The multiple media sections allow replacement of individual media beds. Maintenance no longer requires changing all the media but only the consumed portion which can be determined through our lifetime Tech-Check program. Bulk loading and unloading allows for considerably reduced downtime.
MATERIAL CONSTRUCTION VERSATILITY
June’s Chemical Air Scrubbers have been manufactured from zinc coated steel with protective coatings, aluminum, stainless steel and fiberglass. Our wide material selection enables us to meet specific needs of the client at minimum cost.
SIZE FLEXIBILITY
A wide range of available sizes allows June’s Chemical air scrubbers to be tailored to the needs of a customer’s air handling system, regardless of the system capacity
TECH-CHECK SERVICE
Regular laboratory analysis of Chemical-cleansing media samples (forwarded by the owner) is provided at no extra charge to establish precise media life cycles.
